2018 Philippine Independence Day Celebration

You are cordially invited to attend our Independence Day celebration in Markham on Sunday, June 10, 2018. The Flag Raising Ceremony will be at 11:00 am to be held at the City of Markham Civic Center, 101 Town Centre Boulevard, off Highway 7, west of Warden. A short program will follow. After the program, please proceed to the Luneta Gardens for the Rizal monument ground breaking.

1. to read and/or circulate the:

  • minutes of the previous annual meeting
  • review the operating highlights and financial results of the Corporation
  • approve the 2016 draft financial reports and appoint auditor
  • report of the unfinished business from any previous meeting of the Corporation
  • report of the Chair of the Board
  • discuss and ratify constitutional/bylaws changes
  • Such other items of business as the Board may determine.

Final countdown to MFFC’s A Taste of Broadway: Remastered

It’s almost showtime for the Markham Federation of Filipino Canadians! The final run throughs and dress rehearsals are happening at the Denison practice center, and excitement is growing exponentially.

The one-weekend-only performance taking place on October 7 and 8 at the Flato Markham Theatre features songs from musicals including Lion King and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat. Alongside the youth performers will be guest performers Alvin Alba, Michaelangelo Masangkay, Jason Nunez, Jasmine Ragual, Candace Santos, and Karen Tan, and special guests such as Markham Mayor Frank Scarpitti.
