About the Awards

This year marks the 25th anniversary of the Markham Federation of Filipino Canadians.  To commemorate this significant milestone, MFFC will hold a Dinner Dance Fund raising Event on November 7, 2014 Crystal Fountain banquet Halls located on 60 McDowell Gate ( off 14th Ave.), Markham, Ontario L6G 1B5.  The highlight of this celebration is the presentation of the MFFC Distinguished Achievement Awards. These awards are intended to recognize and honor persons of Filipino heritage who have not just achieved distinction in their field of endeavor, bringing honor and prestige to the Markham community but have availed themselves to the community for community services. This year we extend this honor to the people in the community, regardless of heritage, who have supported our Filipino community in many ways.
